This review  features a few such apps that illustrate workout routines and exercises, track your biking and running miles, and enable easier calorie counting if you're losing weight.
I've previously tried a weight loss app for calorie counting but that was on a Palm Pilot. While initially useful and interesting, especially to see the calories of what we typically eat, I found the input tedious and too repetitive. I wonder if the newer apps connect to social networks for recipe exchanges. That would be an interesting way to add variety to our daily menus.
